Mini-PACS takes teleradiology to the next level by adding centralized digital image storage and on-site Diagnostic Viewing capability. Custom labled Patient Disc's can be produced image distribution at a fraction of the cost of film.
An automated DICOM CD/DVD Producers system creates disc (DVD) "shelve" archive that is DICOM and HIPPA compliant. The indexed dics database eases the manual retreaval of studies that not still on-line. (usually older than 12 months)
Mini-PACS improves archiving and image distribution efficiency while lowering the costs and associated risk of data loss when compared to modality based archiving on mix-matched storage cartridges and film.
